The lime/cement double treatment is carried out in two cases:

• in the presence of particular physical-mechanical characteristics of the soil to be treated (for example materials with plastic indexes ranging between 8 and 12)

• if the sub-base to be treated needs to have high performance characteristics.
The binary treatment results in load bearing capacities superior to those obtained only with lime treatment.

This treatment type results in a reduction in the phenomenon of swelling of soil, greater durability and improved physical-mechanical characteristics.
